Homemade Creamy Hand Soap

Cultivated the habit of washing your hands? Most of us practice good hygience such as washing our hands before eating and after visiting the bathroom.

While it is important to have good personal hygiene, excessive hand washing can be harmful to us, and we risk being a germaphobe at the end of the day.

This may be unknown to many, but overly washing our hands and immoderate use of santizers can actually make us sick by exterminating “good” bacteria which helps build our immune system. Without these bacteria, antibiotic-resistant bugs will be able to enter our body system, making us vulnerable to illnesses.

Besides, overly washing our hands will cause dryness, cracks, and eventully led to ezcema.

One way to build that balance between the need to wash our hands and protecting ourselves against unknown chemicals is simply to create our very own homemade creamy hand wash with shea butter, castile soap, and coconut oil.

Rich in vitamins A, E, F, and famed for its healing properties, our shea butter is 100% natural and non-comedogenic. Not only is it very moisturizing, shea butter helps to heal skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, sun burns, and even itchy scalp.

Here is a quick guide to making your very own hand wash:

Ingredients:

  1. 1/4 cup unrefined shea butter
  2. 1/4 cup coconut oil
  3. 1/2 cup liquid castile soap
