Singapore Flag Soap

We are celebrating SG60 with a creative twist — making our very own Singapore flag soaps! Join us as we craft adorable mini flags using soap bases.

Prepare the White Layer

Add 250g of white soap base into a Pyrex jar. Microwave in short bursts of 40 seconds, stirring in between, until fully melted. Add your fragrance oil and stir well to combine. Pour the mixture into your soap mold and allow it to cool slightly

Prepare the Red Layer

Repeat the same process — melt another 250g of white soap base in a Pyrex jar using short bursts of 40 seconds. Stir in your fragrance oil, then add 1 teaspoon of red colorant. Mix until the color is even. Gently pour the red mixture overlapping the white layer. Spritz rubbing alcohol on the surface to remove bubbles. Allow the soap to set completely.

Unmold & Slice

Once hardened, carefully remove the soap from the mold and slice it into pieces.

Create the Silver Paint

In a small dish, mix 1 teaspoon of mica powder with 1 spritz of rubbing alcohol.
Adjust the mixture until it has a smooth, paint-like consistency — not too dry or too watery.

Add the Flag Design

Place a stencil over each soap piece and use a small paintbrush to dab the mica paint gently over the stencil. Remove the stencil carefully to reveal the flag icon. Repeat for all pieces.
