Jasmine flower has a long history dating back to ancient civilization. A well-known beverage since the Song Dynasty (13th Century A.D.) in China, it was mainly reserved only for the royalty. Other than helping to boost a stronger immune system, Jasmine flower tea also aids in preventing cancer and diabetes, improves digestive system, and lower cholesterol levels. It is also rich in antioxidants, and relieves daily stress.
Jasmine flower symbolizes motherhood, and is made into garlands or worn in the hair. The flowers are also tinctured to produce perfume and are added to tea blends.
To make a brew, place 1 tablespoon of Jasmine flowers in a mug & pour 220ml of boiling water. A brewing time of 3–8 minutes is recommended, depending on desired strength.
