Spearmint Essential Oil

A perennial plant that hails from Europe and Asia, Spearmint, also known as Mentha Spicata, is a type of mint similar to Peppermint. Although the two oils contain similar properties, many believed that Peppermint oil is stronger than Spearmint due to the latter’s lower amount of menthol.

Spearmint has a sweet taste, and is frequently used in chewing gums, candies, toothpaste and mouthwash. It is known to help ease headache, migraine, fatigue, nervousness, and digestive problems. Spearmint also has anti-septic, anti-fungal, and restorative properties.
