Valerian Root, also known as Valeriana Officinalis, is a herb native to both Asia and Europe. Valerian Root has been used as a traditional medicine since ancient times, and is usually used as a supplement or consumed as a form of tea. It is commonly used to treat insomnia, anxiety, stress as it contains a number of compounds which help promote calmness by stabilizing brain chemicals.
